Happy 2019 TRC members! I hope you all are having a wonderful start to this New Year!
The 2019 TRC Board of Directors is already hard at work planning a FUN and educational year for our membership! Before I share a peek into some of our plans for our 7th year as an organization, I wanted to take a moment to thank the 2018 Board of Directors for an OUTSTANDING year. Under Kristin Peterson’s leadership in our 6th year, we experienced record-breaking attendance for our Fall meeting, had a first ever venue with exceptional reviews, had several first time speakers for the Southeast regional relocation councils, continued our fun and interactive sessions getting everyone laughing, and had a record-breaking year in revenue.
2018 is going to be hard to beat for our organization! We are fortunate to have a growing membership base and a very creative Board of Directors that continues to think outside the box to bring unique programming, networking opportunities, and fun venue spaces.
In 2019 we will continue to seek out new and exciting venues in the Nashville area, beginning with TopGolf for our Spring meeting which will be held April 4, 2019. Our Logistics co-chairs, Susan Macchia and Holly Hintz are also working on a brand new venue for our Fall 2019 meeting!
We will continue with our after-hours event immediately following the meeting and this Spring will not disappoint with the opportunity to network and try your hand at golf.
Our Programs co-chairs, Tonya Hamilton and Debbie Robinson, are working with their committee members to bring new speakers and topics and continuing on in our tradition of interactive sessions. I know you will be excited about the topics and speakers they are already lining up!
Our Sponsorship chair, Eve Seib, has re-vamped our Sponsorship benefits with new ways for our Sponsors to promote their company and for you, our members, to find solutions to your business needs.
Our Membership chair, Nicole Awalt, is proactively working on increasing our membership base with some creative ideas and always a great amount of energy.
Our Community Outreach chair, Andi Parker, is able to combine her passion of parenting coaching with our scholarship campaign. We will continue our support of the Oasis Center in 2019 and the Peter Hiro Memorial Scholarship Fund that was established in 2017. Look for fun ways for you to get involved to help with both of these community outreach initiatives in 2019.
Our Executive Board for 2019 consists of Joe Dudek, Vice President, Teresa Summers, Treasurer, and Sara Hanlin, Secretary. And we certainly will be depending on the excellent advice of our advisors, Kristin Peterson and Brad Brekle.
We are excited about what 2019 holds for TRC and know that you will be too!
So please plan to join us:
We are looking forward to seeing you on April 4th in Nashville! More details to come as registration opens in a few weeks.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me or any of our Board members with questions, ideas, or comments. We love feedback!
Hope you all have a wonderful first quarter and we will see you soon! Thank you for your continued support of TRC!
